Dessert in Bed
Good chocolate, ripe fruit, and nowhere to be but here.
Dessert tastes better when nobody has to sit up straight for it. Tonight the last course happens in bed: a tray of good chocolate and ripe fruit, one warm candle, and the slow kind of evening where feeding each other is the whole point.
The evening
Smoldering: Flirtier, a little closer.
Melt a little chocolate and paint it somewhere you'd like it kissed off: a shoulder, a wrist, the back of the neck. Take turns, and go slowly enough that it's half dessert and half kissing.
Pick a pause word you'd never say by accident. Either of you can use it, or simply say stop, at any point and for any reason. Check in along the way, and treat a not yet as a perfectly good answer.
The setting
Warm and low, with a sheer curtain to catch it.
Airy and unhurried, the kind that makes a room feel like Paris at midnight.
Let the chocolate and one warm vanilla candle carry the room. Skip anything perfumed near the food.
Rumpled linen, a lace edge, a soft faux-fur throw at the foot of the bed.
Positions it suits
From the position guide: frank, practical and comfort-aware, with the furniture that makes each one easier.
One partner seated, the other straddling their lap, facing. Upright and intimate.
Both on your sides, one behind the other. Lazy in the best way.
A spooning variation built for stillness: both on your sides, legs tangled, moving as little as possible. Closer to a long embrace than a workout.
The receiving partner lies back on a hip-height table with legs wrapped around the standing partner's waist. Like the bed edge, only higher, so nobody has to crouch.
