Check-in Chime
Rope and cuffs can feel fine for a while and then not. Set a soft chime, and every few minutes it gives you one question to ask, so the one leading can stay in the moment without losing track of time.
Keep this screen open where the person leading can see it. It stays awake while the chime runs.
Before you start
- Agree on a pause word and a hand signal before anything is tied.
- Keep blunt safety shears within reach of the person leading.
- At every chime, ask the question out loud and look at fingers and toes.
- Numbness, tingling, cold or a change in color means it comes off now, not at the next chime.
- Keep first sessions short. Twenty minutes is plenty while you learn.
The chime is a reminder, not a safety device. Keep the screen open and the volume up, and never leave someone who is tied up alone.
