How we use AI responsibly.

Braise uses AI to redesign rooms, not to depict people. Because we take that seriously, and because our members and partners deserve to know exactly where the lines are, here is how the system is built and the guardrails around it.

What the AI actually does

The Room Designer takes a photo of an empty room and restyles its surfaces, furniture, and lighting into the mood you choose. It is not a tool for generating people. The image model is instructed to keep the room empty, and every render is checked by a separate vision model before you see it. If that check finds a person or any nudity, the render is not shown and does not count against your renders. Automated checks can miss things, so if a render ever shows a person, please tell us. Any figurative artwork elsewhere on the site is decorative and depicts only fictional adults.

Guardrails on what you upload

• No people, enforced automatically. Every photo you upload to the Room Designer, whether for a render, a share card, or a photo of the room you built, is screened by a vision model before it is used. If it finds a person, including part of one or a reflection in a mirror, people in a photo or artwork in the frame, or anyone who could be a minor, the photo is refused. When the check isn't sure, it refuses. It's a rule in our terms, and the software enforces it.
• No explicit uploads. Images that appear to contain nudity or sexual content are refused at the same step, and so are photos with legible personal details such as names, addresses, or mail.
• Notes are checked too. The notes you can add to a render may describe the room and what's in it, intimate furniture included. Notes that ask for people, bodies, sex acts, or nudity are refused before anything is generated. The only catalog products ever named to the image model are furniture, fixtures, and decor, never toys, lingerie, or anything worn.
• Location data removed first. Every photo you upload, including consultation photos, is turned upright, stripped of all its metadata (GPS location included), and downscaled before it goes to our AI providers or into storage. The room check, the safety screening and the renders all run with established AI providers under business terms.
• A record of refusals, not of images. When something is refused, we keep a short reason code (for example, "person") with the account, never the image or your notes, so we can spot repeated misuse.
• Your photo stays private. Uploads are processed to generate your render and are not published, browsable, or shared. Your render is saved privately to your account. We only keep the original photo if you opt in to sharing it, and then it is stripped of location data, reviewed by a person before anything is shown, and deleted when you withdraw. Your renders are kept in private storage, shown through links that expire, and you can delete them from your account.

Vesta and The Midnight Room

• Vesta is openly an AI. Our concierge is an AI persona, and its portrait is an avatar, not a photo of a real person. It recommends only products in our catalog, notes when we may earn a commission, stays non-explicit, refuses anything involving minors or non-consent, and doesn't give medical advice.
• Your messages go to an AI provider. Each message is sent to our AI provider to write the reply. We don't store the conversation on our servers or use it for advertising; the history lives in your browser until you press "New chat."
• The Midnight Room is scripted. The game's story is written by us. If live narration is on, Vesta writes one short line between beats from the heat level, the scripted choice and any first names you entered, and nothing else you type. Nothing about your game is saved on our servers.

Guardrails on what we produce

• Fictional adults only. Any figure that appears in our own imagery is fictional and depicted as an adult. Nothing we create depicts, or is intended to appear to depict, a minor. This prohibition is absolute.
• No real-person likeness, no deepfakes. We do not generate content replicating the face, body, or voice of any identifiable real person without that person's written consent.
• Produced in-house and reviewed. Our content is produced in-house by the company's adult principals and reviewed by a person before publication. We keep provenance records (the tools, prompts, and date) for the content we publish.
• No third-party uploads. The site does not host user-posted galleries or third-party sexual content, and we do not onboard or pay outside content creators. The only member photos we ever show are room before-and-afters their owners chose to share, each reviewed by a person first, with no people in them.

Report something

If you believe any content here is unlawful, depicts a minor, or uses a real person's likeness without consent, tell us immediately through the contact page. We review reports promptly and remove anything that violates these standards. We do not tolerate child sexual abuse material: our checks refuse it, and we will report it to the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children as the law requires.
