After the Beach
Rinse off the day, cool sheets, and nowhere else to be.
The best part of a beach day is the shower after it and the cool sheets after that. Tonight you recreate that feeling at home, whether or not you went anywhere near the water.
The evening
After Midnight: Bolder. Suggestive, never explicit.
Straight from the shower to the bed, still a little warm. Take turns with your mouths first, then whatever keeps you close: on top, side by side, or a pillow under the hips.
Pick a pause word you'd never say by accident. Either of you can use it, or simply say stop, at any point and for any reason. Check in along the way, and treat a not yet as a perfectly good answer.
The setting
Pillar candles in glass, curtains open to the last of the light, then one warm lamp as it gets dark.
An ocean track or something unhurried and acoustic, low enough to hear each other.
Clean and sun-warmed, like a beach house in the evening.
Rumpled linen sheets, bare feet on jute, and a chunky throw for when the breeze cools.
Positions it suits
From the position guide: frank, practical and comfort-aware, with the furniture that makes each one easier.
One partner lies back, the other straddles them facing forward and sets the pace.
Both on your sides, one behind the other, with pillows doing the supporting.
Hips raised on a wedge or pillow for a better, supported angle.
Lying on your sides, turned toward each other. Eye contact and ease.
