Our verdict

Sliquid's aloe-based answer to a plain water-based lube. It's safe with every toy and condom and leaves out glycerin and parabens. Choose it over H2O if you want a plant base, and stick with H2O if you want the shortest ingredient list.

How we vetted it

We haven't used Organics Natural. This take comes from the info sheet Sliquid gives its retail partners, the current product page and ingredient list on sliquid.com, Sliquid's published answers on condoms, and how it compares with H2O, which we've already reviewed.

What works well

Where H2O starts with purified water, Organics Natural starts with organic aloe leaf juice, thickened with agar (from red algae), guar gum and plant cellulose. Sliquid adds small amounts of organic flax, hibiscus, green tea and sunflower seed extracts. There's no glycerin, no parabens, no propylene glycol and no sugar, and it's vegan, unflavored and unscented. Sliquid lists the pH at 4.1 to 4.4. Since it's water-based, it's fine on silicone toys as well as latex, rubber and plastic, and Sliquid says all of its lubes work with all condoms. It washes off with water and won't stain.

Why we chose it

  • Safe with all toys and condoms
  • Aloe base, no glycerin or parabens
  • Non-staining, rinses off with water
  • Vegan and unscented

In your room

The amber bottle looks more like something from the skincare shelf than a lube, so it can stay out on the nightstand. Like H2O, it's the one you can reach for with any toy without checking the material first. Keep a glass of water nearby, because a few drops bring it back when it starts to dry. Cleanup is a warm washcloth, and the sheets come through fine.

Pairs with

Skip it if

You're allergic to aloe, you want the simplest possible formula (H2O), or you want a lube that holds up in the shower (Silver).

Who it's for

People who want an aloe-based, plant-forward lube that's safe with everything in the drawer, and who don't mind reapplying.
