Gallery Light
One pool of light, and you take turns standing in it.
A dark room with a single focused light turns whoever steps into it into the only thing worth looking at. Tonight you take turns in that light, and the other person describes, out loud and kindly, exactly what they see.
The evening
Smoldering: Flirtier, a little closer.
Whoever is in the light says how close the other may come, and moves that line whenever they want. The watcher describes what they see, then closes the distance one step at a time. Swap when the person in the light says so.
Pick a pause word you'd never say by accident. Either of you can use it, or simply say stop, at any point and for any reason. Check in along the way, and treat a not yet as a perfectly good answer.
The setting
Aim a single spotlight or lamp at one spot in the room, and turn everything else off.
Slow strings or a quiet cinematic score, low enough that every word lands.
One dark, spicy candle, set well out of the light so it doesn't compete.
A velvet throw for whoever is waiting in the dark, and linen sheets for later.
Positions it suits
From the position guide: frank, practical and comfort-aware, with the furniture that makes each one easier.
One seated at the edge, the other close and supported. Upright and connected.
Lying on your sides, turned toward each other. Eye contact and ease.
Semi-reclined and cushioned. Minimal exertion, maximum ease. Good for solo nights too.
The receiving partner squats on the edge of a sturdy table or counter, facing away and leaning back into the standing partner's chest. Rear entry with a full-body hug.
