Partner Yoga, No Rules
Silly partner poses on the mat, more laughing than stretching.
Partner yoga is mostly falling over, which is the fun of it. Get on the mats, try poses that need more than one body, and see what the laughing turns into.
The evening
Candlelit: Sweet and talkative.
Pull up a few partner poses: back to back seated, a double forward fold, a shared balance. Try them, wobble, try again. Finish with everyone flat on the mats, breathing.
Talk about what's on and off the table before anything starts, and agree on a pause word everyone knows. Anyone can step out at any point, with no explanation needed. Check in with each person, not only the group.
The setting
A couple of warm lamps at floor level so nothing glares.
Downtempo with a pulse you can move to without trying.
Fresh and awake, never heavy.
Something forgiving underfoot, a stack of warm towels, a light blanket.
Positions it suits
From the position guide: frank, practical and comfort-aware, with the furniture that makes each one easier.
One seated at the edge, the other close and supported. Upright and connected.
Both sitting up, wrapped around each other. Slow, close and very still.
Both on your sides, one behind the other, with pillows doing the supporting.
