Reclining Lotus
Also called: Lying lotus
The receiving partner lies back with their legs crossed and drawn up toward the chest, and the other partner leans in over them, face to face.
The receiving partner lies on their back and crosses their legs at the ankles or shins, like sitting cross-legged, then draws the crossed legs up toward their chest. The other partner kneels or lies over them, facing them, and enters with the receiving partner's crossed shins pressed against their chest or belly. They support their weight on their hands or forearms either side of the receiving partner's shoulders and lean in close enough to kiss. The receiving partner can hold their own ankles or the other partner's arms. Pulling the crossed legs closer to the chest deepens it; letting them drift down toward the belly makes it gentler.
A tight, deep feel with plenty of eye contact and kissing. A nice step up from missionary for couples who like a little stretch.
Skip the full cross and just tuck one ankle over the other. Or put a pillow under the hips so the legs don't have to come up as far.
Keep the pace slow at first. The crossed legs make everything feel more intense than it looks.
This needs open hips. If the cross-legged fold pinches or strains, uncross and go back to knees bent.
Agree on it before you try it, use plenty of lube, and either of you can stop at any point. This guide is general information, not medical advice.
