Lotus
Also called: Padmasana, Seated lotus, Yab-yum
Both sitting up, wrapped around each other. Slow, close and very still.
One partner sits cross-legged on the bed or floor. The other sits in their lap facing them and wraps their legs around their waist, arms around their shoulders. Movement is a slow rocking or circling of the hips rather than thrusting. Breathe together and stay close.
Closeness, eye contact, synchronized breathing, and long, slow sessions that are more about connection than climax.
Sit against the headboard or a wall instead of unsupported. A cushion under the base partner's hips keeps knees comfortable.
Try matching your breathing for a minute before you start moving. It changes the whole pace.
Cross-legged sitting is hard on stiff hips and knees. Sit with legs out straight instead; it works just as well.
Agree on it before you try it, use plenty of lube, and either of you can stop at any point. This guide is general information, not medical advice.
