The Deep Fold
Also called: Knees to chest, The anvil
The receiving partner draws their knees toward their chest. As deep as it gets.
The receiving partner lies on their back and pulls their knees toward their chest, holding behind their thighs or letting the other partner hold their legs. The top partner kneels close, leaning their weight forward over them. Hips tilt fully up, which makes for maximum depth.
Intensity. This is the deepest standard position, and best saved for when you're both warmed up.
A pillow under the hips means the knees don't have to come back as far. The top partner keeps weight on their own hands.
Pull out a few inches between strokes. Depth is better as an occasional thing than every stroke.
Deep positions can hit the cervix or press on tender spots. Start shallow, let the receiving partner set the depth, and ease off at the first wince.
A wedge does half of the fold for you.
