Living with it
We've had the bench for years. The padding and vinyl have held up with no fading. One thing to watch: metal clips and carabiners can scuff or tear vinyl, though ours has come through fine.
It lives in our playroom. Assembled, it's hard to disguise, so when it's not in use we pop the legs off and store it in a closet.
Cleanup is simple: baby wipes or disinfectant wipes. We use it for one purpose only, and it does that job well.
