How to make your bedroom more romantic
Most bedrooms are built for sleep and storage. A few deliberate changes to light, bed, color, and clutter make one feel like it was built for the two of you.

Real wax pillars with a moving flame that passes for the real thing from across the room, and a timer that turns them on every evening by themselves.

Vetted from Luminara's product page and owner reviews (about 4.7 out of 5 from nearly 300 reviews on luminara.com), plus Costco's listing. We haven't used this set ourselves.
The flame is the trick. A small magnet moves a flame-shaped piece while an LED lights it, so it flickers and sways instead of blinking. The shells are real wax with a melted top edge, unscented, 3 inches wide in heights of 4.5, 5.5 and 6.5 inches. The remote turns them on and off, and the timer runs them five hours on and 19 off, so they light up at the same time every evening.
Group the three at different heights on a dresser or in a fireplace, and set the timer so the room is already glowing when you walk in. They're the safe answer for anywhere a real flame shouldn't be.
Nothing but a real flame will do.
Anyone who wants candlelight without the worry: around a bath, near curtains, with pets or kids in the house, or simply on the nights you might fall asleep.
