The Turning Position
Also called: Paravrittaka
The partner on top turns all the way around, from facing to facing away, without separating.
Start in missionary or on top. The partner on top slowly turns their body around, a quarter turn at a time, while staying connected, until they're facing the other way. It's a playful, attention-heavy move that the Kama Sutra itself says takes practice.
A challenge to laugh through together, and feeling every angle in between.
Do it with the receiving partner on top as a slow turn from cowgirl to reverse cowgirl; it's much easier than the original.
Narrate the turn. It's part of the fun and keeps everyone in sync.
Go very slowly. Twisting a penis or a toy at a bad angle hurts. Separate and re-start if anything pinches.
Agree on it before you try it, use plenty of lube, and either of you can stop at any point. This guide is general information, not medical advice.
