The Yawning Position
Also called: Vijrimbhitaka, Legs wide and raised
On the back, legs raised and opened wide. A Kama Sutra classic.
The receiving partner lies on their back and raises their legs up and wide, in a V shape. The other partner kneels between them and can hold their ankles or calves for support. Opening the legs wide gives easy access and a lot of closeness at the hips.
Depth and a strong angle without folding the body, with face-to-face eye contact.
Resting the legs on the kneeling partner's arms takes the strain off hip flexors. A wedge under the hips adds lift.
Lower the legs a little at a time to find the angle each of you likes best.
